The more you activate your focus, the more life seems to rearrange to conspire with you. BUT it takes consistency to activate it. Which is tricky when we’re already trying to figure out how to overcome distractions to our goals.
Focus is like a switch in your brain. It gets turned OFF by noise, overwhelm, and excessive data to process.
It gets turned ON by activating one particular part of your brain, called your RAS.
In this video I’m sharing 4 daily journal questions that only take up to 5 min a day to complete and that will turn on your RAS, getting it to focus on what you tell it to (and therefore getting more of the right stuff done!).
This practice of 4 daily questions is NOT a magic bullet. You won’t see the impact on Day One or even Week 1. But if you really want to know how to stay focused on your goals, how to achieve your goals faster, and how to feel less distracted, scattered and overwhelmed, stick with this long enough to see the momentum build.
The 4 daily questions
#1 – What is my #1 goal right now?
#2 – What is 1 thing I’ll do today to work on this goal?
#3 – Why is this important?
#4 – Who do I get to be today to make this happen?
Save some time each day and write these journal prompts for goals ONCE on a sticky note, then follow the instructions in the video to write – NOT type – these answers each workday.
It takes 5-10 minutes, and the results will compound subtly over time, so be sure to track your progress.
